Spiritual development

By 'spiritual' we mean the natural connection that people have with the beauty, mystery and wonder of life.

CEM teaches people a simple method for connecting with nature and the beauty of the universe - even when they are in a city office on overload or in a kitchen surrounded by a needy family. The ‘spiritual’ is integrated into everyday life and activities.

All the CEM is work is done through encouraging a confident, wise and kind sense of detachment. This, of course, is a core feature of classic spiritual practice - the ability to be a wise and compassionate observer of oneself and of the whole community of life.

CEM also teaches people how to be encouraging and supportive of others. In classical spiritual practice, this is the development of true pastoral care and service.
